Family-owned since 1926

In 1926, Frank R. Close started a lumber yard in the small community of Sutter, California. By 1937, the business acquired Corning Lumber in Corning, CA. Today, Close Lumber now includes full hardware and lumber yards in Williams, Willows, Orland, Sutter, and Corning, many also offering tool and party supplies for rent. In addition, Close Lumber opened a store in Yuba City, which includes a door shop, paint, and hardware. In 2017, Close Lumber added an online store, bringing some of our products for purchase online nationwide. Since our start in 1926, our vision is to bring our customers excellent customer service, wide assortment, and quality products.
